True brings its commercial refrigeration background to home wine storage: 15 and 24-inch undercounter wine cabinets, a 24-inch dual-zone cabinet, and 24 and 30-inch dual-zone wine columns. Its undercounter units are rated for outdoor use and can be built in or stand free; its columns are indoor-only. We work on True undercounter wine cabinets (TWC-15, TWC-24, TWC-24DZ and ADA-height versions) and True dual-zone wine columns (TR-24DZW, TR-30DZW). Undercounter units and columns use different controls and manuals. ### The fan never stops True says the evaporator fan in its wine units runs all the time to keep the temperature even, stopping only when the door opens. A fan that runs nonstop is normal on a True; a silent one is not. ### Fixed alarm limits True’s undercounter wine units alarm after an hour at or above 70°F, and the door alarm starts after seven minutes. Those numbers help us tell a real problem from a busy evening. ### Home alarm hookup True’s 24-inch dual-zone wine cabinet has three wires behind the kickplate for a home alarm system. If yours is connected, a warm or open cabinet can reach your alarm panel, and the wiring is checked on a visit. ### Column modes on the menu True wine columns run a menu display with HOLIDAY MODE, VACATION MODE and SHOWROOM MODE. Several no-cooling calls turn out to be a mode, so we check the menu first. Parts Fans, controls and door parts are matched to the serial label. True sells some parts, such as handles and foam pads, directly; control parts may be ordered after diagnosis. Repair or replace True wine units are built with commercial-grade parts, so repair is usually the right call. A sealed-system failure on an older undercounter unit is the main case where replacement is worth comparing. Book your True Residential visit ## What we are called out for. Yes. True says the evaporator fan runs continuously in its wine units for even temperature, stopping only when the door is opened. ### Can I put my True wine unit outside? True rates all its undercounter units for outdoor use. Its columns are not suitable for outdoor use. ### Can a True wine cabinet hold magnum bottles? True says magnums fit on the floor rack, which holds five bottles, and the racks can come out for more room. ### Why is there condensation on my True wine unit?
