On Marvel’s ML15WSG and ML24WSG wine units, E1 is the temperature sensor alarm. The alarm beeps once a second, E1 flashes and the Alarm LED lights. Pressing a key mutes the sound, but the code keeps flashing, and the alarm sounds for 20 seconds every hour until the sensor is fixed. With no trustworthy number, the cabinet either chills the bottles far below cellar temperature or lets a zone drift warm.
