On the ZIW241 wine column, a lock icon lights when the keys are locked. The panel locks on its own after 15 seconds of no use or when the door closes, so owners often think the keys have stopped working. Monogram wine cooler display · also shown as panel locked, ZONE SELECT hold 3 sec to unlock What to do when Key lock icon shows on the wine cooler ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting someone switched on, often by leaning on the touch panel or left over from the showroom floor, rather than a part that wore out: a demo mode that lights the display and the rack lamps while the cooling never starts, a Sabbath setting that turns off the lights and alarms, a child or control lock that ignores every key press, a reminder that the glass door stood open. The cabinet is fine, and its own keys or its manual switch the mode back off. ### Usually leads to No repair Press and hold ZONE SELECT for 3 seconds to unlock. ### Shows up as Wine Cooler Error Code A wine cooler error code appears as letters and digits on the display, a flashing temperature, dashes where a number should be or a blinking symbol, sometimes with an alarm tone and sometimes while the cabinet stays perfectly cool. ### Make Monogram Monogram wine coolers diagnosed on site when they warm up, sweat, trip a breaker or smell of burning. ### Source Monogram wine column owner's manual 49-1000762 (ZIW241) Monogram 24-inch ZIW241 panel-ready wine column (owner's manual 49-1000762). A first-time start needs ZONE SELECT held for 4 seconds. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Monogram's own guidance for Key lock icon on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Press and hold ZONE SELECT for 3 seconds to unlock. 02 Pick the upper or lower compartment and make your change within 15 seconds. 03 If ZONE SELECT will not unlock the panel at all, book a visit to check the touch control. ### Cleared? The display has gone quiet and the cabinet is back at its setting without a new part. Should the code reappear this week, or the reds start feeling warm again, book a visit and mention that it came back. ### What not to do The lock icon is not a problem with the column. It is also different from Sabbath Mode, which turns alarms and lights off rather than just the keys. ## What you may notice with it. The wine cooler problems Key lock icon tends to arrive with. Press and hold ZONE SELECT for 3 seconds to unlock. ### Why do the keys on my Monogram wine column not respond? The panel locks itself after 15 seconds or when the door closes. Hold ZONE SELECT for 3 seconds and the keys work again. ### Can I keep my Monogram wine column panel unlocked? The owner's manual gives no setting to switch the automatic lock off. Unlock it each time you want to change a setting. ### Does the key lock on my Monogram wine column stop the door alarm?
