No. Many freestanding and thermoelectric models only flash the temperature or show dashes, while built-in makes are more likely to print a code. Even so, how the display behaves points to a family of causes. ### Will turning the cooler off clear the code for good? It clears a code caused by a passing glitch, such as a flicker in the power. A code that comes back names something real, and the code with the model number tells us which part to bring. ### The code says the door is open, but it is shut. Why?
