What Over Temp
actually means.

The JennAir 24-inch undercounter wine unit watches both zones with separate sensors. If either zone sits above its preset range for 10 minutes, it beeps and flashes Over Temp; the sound stops when the zone recovers, but the light keeps flashing until Reset Alarm is pressed.

What to do when Over Temp shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from JennAir's own guidance for Over Temp on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press Reset Alarm, then close the door firmly and clear anything in front of the base grille.

02

Put a thermometer in the warm zone; move the most valuable bottles somewhere cool and dark if it is well above its setting.

03

Allow a few hours after a large restock before deciding the zone cannot recover.

04

If the indicator comes back every 4 hours with the door shut, book a visit.

What not to do

Over Temp is not a sensor code and does not tell you which part failed. It is also not caused by the Cellar Mode change to 55°F, which is a setting you choose.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problems Over Temp tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about Over Temp.

Can I clear Over Temp myself?
Press Reset Alarm, then close the door firmly and clear anything in front of the base grille. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Which zone set off Over Temp on my JennAir wine cooler?
JennAir says either zone can trigger it. Check the upper and lower readings and compare each to its own setting.
Why is Reset Alarm only showing sometimes on my JennAir wine cooler?
JennAir only shows the reset options while a zone is above its range and the alarm needs a reset. Once things are normal, they disappear.
Can the Auto Light on my JennAir wine cooler cause Over Temp?
Leaving the interior light on for long periods raises the temperature slightly, JennAir notes. On its own it rarely trips the alarm, but it adds to a warm room or a blocked grille.

Still showing Over Temp?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
