Vinotemp builds a door reminder into its compressor models. On the VT-DS built-ins it sounds when the door has been open or not fully closed for 5 minutes, and on Private Reserve units after 60 seconds. Nothing is broken; the beep simply asks for the door to be shut.

The cooler noticed its door open for too long, or a switch that never reports it closing. Often a rack slid out a little too far holds the glass off the gasket, the cabinet has tipped forward off level, or a hinge has sagged under a heavy door; now and then the door switch itself has failed. Warm air getting in shows as fog on the glass and a zone that will not settle.

On a Private Reserve model, press POWER once to silence the alarm while you check.
If the door will not seal after the racks are reseated and the gasket is cleaned, book a visit.
