What LO
actually means.

On VT-DS built-in models LO appears when the cabinet air falls below 32°F, and the alarm sounds with the malfunction indicator light at the same time. The coldest setting on these models is 39°F, so LO means the unit is cooling past what it was told to do, not that the setting is low.

What to do when LO shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Vinotemp's own guidance for LO on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check the set temperature; the adjustable range is 39°F to 64°F.

02

Look over the bottles near the back wall for ice or corks that have started to push out.

03

Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, plug it back in and watch the display.

04

If LO returns, book a visit; a cabinet that overcools on a normal setting needs its sensor and control checked.

It usually turns into wine cooler thermostat and sensor repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

LO does not mean the dial is simply set low, because the lowest setting is 39°F and LO starts below 32°F. It is also not a sensor code; other Vinotemp series report a failed sensor as E1, E2, EL or EH.

What you may
notice with it.

Questions
about LO.

Can I clear LO myself?
Check the set temperature; the adjustable range is 39°F to 64°F. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can I set my Vinotemp cold enough to cause LO?
Not on a VT-DS model that is working normally: settings stop at 39°F, and LO only appears below 32°F. If you see LO, something other than the setting is driving the temperature down.
Why did a red light come on with LO?
Vinotemp pairs LO with the malfunction indicator light and the alarm. All three say the same thing: the air in the cabinet is below freezing.
Are my bottles safe after a Vinotemp LO alarm?
Check each bottle for ice, a raised cork or seepage, and set aside any that show them. Bottles that stayed liquid can go back once the cabinet is holding its setting again.

Still showing LO?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
