What E2
actually means.

E2 names a communication break from the power board to the wireless network card that links the cabinet to the ConnectLife app. E3 is the same break reported by the network card. Cooling does not depend on the card, but app control, remote alarms and software updates do.

What to do when E2 shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ASKO's own guidance for E2 on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Close the notification with X or Confirm and note the time; if the same code is back 3 hours later, the problem is real.

02

Check whether the Wi-Fi icon is still shown on the screen.

03

If E2 or E3 keeps coming back, book a visit for the network card or its connection.

It usually turns into wine cooler control board and display repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E2 is not a home Wi-Fi password problem; that shows up as a missing Wi-Fi icon, not a code. It does not affect the temperature in the zones.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problem E2 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about E2.

Can I clear E2 myself?
Close the notification with X or Confirm and note the time; if the same code is back 3 hours later, the problem is real. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Does ASKO E2 mean my router is down?
No. It names a break inside the cabinet, between the power board and its own network card.
Is it safe to ignore E2 on my ASKO wine cabinet?
The wine stays cool, but you lose app alerts about temperature and humidity. Have it looked at when convenient.
What is the difference between ASKO E2 and E3?
E2 is reported by the power board and E3 by the network card; both describe the same link.

Still showing E2?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
