What H1
actually means.

H1 reports a humidity sensor error in zone A. The cabinet uses these sensors to show humidity per zone and to raise the low-humidity alarm. H2 and H3 name zone B and zone C, and H4 the sensor that reads the room outside.

What to do when H1 shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ASKO's own guidance for H1 on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Confirm the pop-up with X or Confirm, write the code down, and see whether it returns within 3 hours.

02

Keep the HumidityBox filled in zones used for long storage, since the reading can no longer be trusted.

03

Book a visit if H1 returns.

Still there?

It usually turns into wine cooler thermostat and sensor repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

H1 is not a low-humidity warning; low humidity shows a blinking value and a pop-up instead. Temperature control is not affected by this sensor alone.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problem H1 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about H1.

Can I clear H1 myself?
Confirm the pop-up with X or Confirm, write the code down, and see whether it returns within 3 hours. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Does ASKO H1 mean the cabinet is too dry?
No. It means the sensor cannot report, so the cabinet does not know how dry it is.
Is H4 on ASKO a zone sensor too?
No. H4 is the humidity sensor for the outside environment.
Will the wine be harmed by H1?
Not quickly. Humidity matters over months for natural corks; keep the HumidityBox filled until the repair.

Still showing H1?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
