What Humidity below 40%
actually means.

The ASKO cabinet shows humidity per zone and raises a pop-up when any zone drops to 40% or below. The fix it gives is the clay HumidityBox: filled with about 16.9 fl oz of water and placed in the dry zone, it brings humidity from 40% back to 50% in about 9 hours. Refilling the box stops the notification.

Can I clear Humidity below 40% myself?

Why is my ASKO wine cabinet too dry?
A dry room is the usual cause. The HumidityBox is ASKO's way of topping humidity up.
