What T2
actually means.

T2 reports a temperature sensor error in zone A. Without a trusted reading the cabinet runs that zone in a safe mode, holding what it judges a suitable temperature until a technician repairs it. T4 and T8 are the same code for zones B and C.

What to do when T2 shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ASKO's own guidance for T2 on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Tap X or Confirm on the pop-up to close it; the cabinet shows it again after 3 hours if the problem is still there.

02

Check the zone with a separate thermometer among the bottles.

03

Book a visit; the safe mode is a stopgap, not a fix.

Still there?

It usually turns into wine cooler thermostat and sensor repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

T2 is not the evaporator sensor, which is T3. It also does not mean the zone is warm; safe mode aims to keep it at a suitable temperature.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problems T2 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about T2.

Can I clear T2 myself?
Tap X or Confirm on the pop-up to close it; the cabinet shows it again after 3 hours if the problem is still there. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Is my wine safe with ASKO T2 showing?
Usually for a while. ASKO's safe mode keeps each zone at a suitable temperature until the repair.
What is ASKO safe mode?
A fallback in which the cabinet maintains a suitable temperature per zone without the failed sensor's reading.
Why does zone A show an odd temperature?
With the sensor failed, the displayed value may not be real. Trust a thermometer until the visit.

Still showing T2?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
