What is particular
to ASKO.

We service the ASKO WCN311942G Wine Climate Cabinet and its Vitrine-styled versions. Its sensors, fans and three charcoal filters are specific to this model family.

A code for each sensor

The cabinet reports communication (E), fan (F), humidity (H), proximity (P), temperature (T) and vibration (U) problems separately, down to the zone. A code tells us which zone and which part to test first.

A clay HumidityBox

Humidity is shown per zone, and below 40% the cabinet raises an alarm. ASKO's answer is a water-filled clay HumidityBox, refilled about every 30 days, before any repair is considered.

It notices vibration

A vibration sensor warns when shelves or the door are closed too hard, or when the cabinet stands on an uneven or shaking floor. Leveling and placement come before any part.

Safe mode keeps the wine cool

When a temperature sensor stops giving usable readings, the cabinet runs in a safe mode that holds each zone at a suitable temperature until it is repaired, which buys time for a visit.

Parts

Charcoal filters and HumidityBoxes are accessories; sensors, fans and the network card are ordered by model and serial number after the first visit, and ASKO parts can take longer than mainstream brands.

Repair or replace

Most ASKO codes point to one sensor, fan or connection, which is well worth repairing on a cabinet this size. A sealed-system failure out of warranty is where we would compare the cost with replacement.

What does it mean when an ASKO wine cabinet error comes back after 3 hours?
ASKO shows the message again if the problem is still there 3 hours after you close it. A code that returns needs a technician.
Why does my ASKO wine cabinet say humidity is low?
One or more zones has dropped to 40% or below. Fill the HumidityBox with water and place it in that zone; it takes about 9 hours to bring humidity back to 50%.
How often do the ASKO charcoal filters need changing?
About every 12 months. The display and the ConnectLife app remind you when they are due.
My ASKO wine cabinet warns about vibrations. Is it broken?
Usually not. Close the shelves and door gently and check the cabinet is level; U1 is the code for a failed vibration sensor.
