What F1
actually means.

F1 names the zone A fan. ASKO's fans spread cooled and humidified air evenly through each zone, so a stopped fan lets that zone drift from its setting while the others hold. F3 and F4 are the same code for the zone B and zone C fans.

What to do when F1 shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ASKO's own guidance for F1 on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Tap X or Confirm on the pop-up to close it; the cabinet shows it again after 3 hours if the problem is still there.

02

Watch the temperature of zone A; if it climbs, move the most valuable bottles to another zone or a cool dark place.

03

Book a visit if F1 returns.

Still there?

It usually turns into wine cooler fan repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F1 is not the condenser fan, which is F2. A fan noise without a code is usually a bottle or shelf touching the fan cover.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problems F1 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F1.

Can I clear F1 myself?
Tap X or Confirm on the pop-up to close it; the cabinet shows it again after 3 hours if the problem is still there. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Which zone is zone A on an ASKO wine cabinet?
ASKO names the three zones A, B (the serving area) and C; the manual's zone descriptions show where each sits.
Can ice stop the zone A fan?
ASKO lists only the fan error; frost or a blocked fan cover is one of the things checked on the visit.
Does F3 mean the same thing as F1?
Yes, for zone B instead of zone A; F4 is zone C.

Still showing F1?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
