What E1
actually means.
On Marvel’s ML15WSG and ML24WSG wine units, E1 is the temperature sensor alarm. The alarm beeps once a second, E1 flashes and the Alarm LED lights. Pressing a key mutes the sound, but the code keeps flashing, and the alarm sounds for 20 seconds every hour until the sensor is fixed.

What to do when E1 shows on the wine coolerKind of codeTemperature sensors
The control has lost a believable reading from one of its thermistors: the probe in a zone, the one on the cold plate or coil, or on some models the one watching the room. With no trustworthy number, the cabinet either chills the bottles far below cellar temperature or lets a zone drift warm. A sensor sitting in frost, pinched behind a rack or unplugged during a move is ruled out before a new one is ordered.
Usually leads toWine cooler thermostat and sensor repair
Testing and replacing the thermostat or the temperature sensors that tell a wine cooler when to cool, when the cabinet runs too cold, too warm or back and forth.
Shows up asWine Cooler Error Code
A wine cooler error code appears as letters and digits on the display, a flashing temperature, dashes where a number should be or a blinking symbol, sometimes with an alarm tone and sometimes while the cabinet stays perfectly cool.

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
