What DO1
actually means.

DO1 is the G5 short-period door alarm. Perlick’s only instruction is to close the door. It is an early nudge, and it can turn into DO2 if the door stays open.

What to do when DO1 shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for DO1 on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Push the door until it latches fully.

02

Make sure a rack or bottle is not sticking out past the door line.

03

DO1 on a latched door suggests the door switch; book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into wine cooler glass door and gasket repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

DO1 reports the door, not the cooling, and clears by itself once the door shuts. The long-period version, DO2, adds a defrost step.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problems DO1 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about DO1.

Can I clear DO1 myself?
Push the door until it latches fully. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
How can I check whether my Perlick thinks the door is open?
The diagnostic window in the service menu shows the door switch as OPEN or CLOSED. If it reads OPEN with the door shut, the switch needs a look.
Does DO1 stay in the alarm history?
Yes. The G5 keeps the last ten alarms with a date and time stamp.
Is DO1 the same as DO2?
No. DO1 is the short-period alert; DO2 means the door was open long enough that Perlick asks you to run a defrost.

Still showing DO1?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
