What T1L
actually means.

T1L and T2L are the G5 low temperature alarms. Perlick’s checklist starts with the door and gasket and with sudden changes in room temperature, which on an outdoor or garage install can pull a zone down on a cold night.

What to do when T1L shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for T1L on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check the zone settings and confirm nobody lowered them.

02

Think about the room: a cold snap near an outdoor or garage unit can cause this.

03

If the alarm returns within a week, book a visit.

It usually turns into wine cooler thermostat and sensor repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

T1L is not a door alert, even though Perlick asks you to check the door. A failed zone probe shows P1F or P2F rather than a low alarm.

What you may
notice with it.

Questions
about T1L.

Can I clear T1L myself?
Check the zone settings and confirm nobody lowered them. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can a cold garage set off T1L on a Perlick?
Yes. Perlick names sudden room temperature changes as a cause, and its wine units have a lower room limit of 42°F or 5°F below the set point.
Is T1L harmful to wine?
Mild cold slows aging. Near-freezing temperatures can push corks, so move bottles if the zone keeps dropping.
Why does a door problem cause a low alarm?
A door that does not seal lets in air and moisture that can confuse the cooling cycle. Perlick lists it first for both high and low alarms.

Still showing T1L?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
