The display of a dual-zone wine cooler in a dim kitchen blinking a warm reading in its upper zone, the door closed on rows of unlabeled bottles.

What T2H
actually means.

T2H is the same G5 high temperature alarm as T1H, but for zone 2. Perlick uses zone 2 only on dual-zone units, where it is the upper, warmer section. The checklist is the same: door and gasket, condenser coils, front grille, room temperature and warm product.

What to do when T2H shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for T2H on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check the door seal, since a door that does not close pulls warm air into the top first.

02

Clean the condenser coils and clear the front grille.

03

If T2H returns within a week, move bottles from the upper section and book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into wine cooler thermostat and sensor repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

T2H does not mean the whole unit is failing; the lower zone may be fine. A zone 2 probe that stops reading shows P2F instead.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problems T2H tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about T2H.

Can I clear T2H myself?
Check the door seal, since a door that does not close pulls warm air into the top first. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why is only the top of my Perlick dual-zone warm?
Each zone is controlled on its own, with air dampers between them. A damper, a zone fan or the door seal can leave the upper zone warm while the lower one holds.
Is T2H ever shown on a single-zone Perlick?
Perlick uses zone 2 only on dual-zone units, so a single-zone reserve reports its cabinet as zone 1.
What should the upper zone be set to?
Perlick sets the upper wine zone of its dual-zone reserve to 55°F at the factory. T2H means it has gone well past what you set.

Still showing T2H?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
