What PHF
actually means.

PHF is the G5 humidity sensor alarm. Perlick installs a humidity sensor on its wine reserves and lets you set a humidity percentage on them, so this code belongs to wine units. With the sensor out, the reserve cannot manage humidity as set.

What to do when PHF shows on the wine cooler

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for PHF on its wine coolers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Acknowledge the alarm on the display.

02

Check the temperature, which PHF does not affect directly.

03

If PHF comes back, book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into wine cooler thermostat and sensor repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

PHF is not a temperature problem; the zones can still cool normally. It is also not the zone probe, which reports as P1F or P2F.

What you may
notice with it.

The wine cooler problems PHF tends to arrive with. Answer these at the wine cooler before anyone is booked.

Questions
about PHF.

Can I clear PHF myself?
Acknowledge the alarm on the display. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why does humidity matter in a Perlick wine reserve?
Air that is too dry can dry corks over years of storage, and air that is too damp encourages mold on labels. That is why Perlick lets you set humidity on its wine units.
Can I keep storing wine with PHF showing?
Yes, short term. Temperature matters more than humidity over weeks, so PHF is not urgent.
Where can I see the humidity reading?
In the diagnostic window of the service menu. With PHF active, that reading cannot be trusted.

Back to your everyday

Still showing PHF?

When you book, copy the code or the blink pattern as the display shows it, add the whole model number, and say whether the bottles still feel cool — a code gives the technician a head start.
