What is particular
to Dacor.

We service the DRW24980LAP and DRW24980RAP wine columns, left or right hinged, panel-ready or fitted with Dacor's Contemporary panel kits. If your Dacor wine unit carries a different model number, the label decides which controls and parts apply.

Three zones, one door

The upper, middle and lower zones each hold their own setting between 40°F and 65°F. When only one zone runs warm, the search starts with that zone's airflow and sensor rather than the whole cooling system.

Humidity is measured

Dacor fits four humidity sensors, one in each zone and one outside, and aims to keep humidity between 50 and 80 percent. Condensation or dried corks are checked against those readings.

Deodorizer filters on a timer

After about 18 months the Filter indicator blinks red to say the deodorizer filter is due. Once a new filter is in, holding Deodorizer Reset for 3 seconds restarts the count.

Alerts arrive in the app

Through SmartThings the column can report an abnormally high temperature, a door left open and a filter due, and its Self Check looks for abnormal operation. Those alerts often reach a phone before anything shows on the cabinet.

Parts

Deodorizing filters come in a set of six (RAC00DFAAAA/DA); sensors, boards and fans are ordered by model and serial number. Dacor says the LED lights are not user-serviceable, so a dark zone is a job for the visit.

Repair or replace

A built-in column holding a full collection is almost always repaired, since its sensors, fans, lights and boards are replaceable parts. Only a sealed-system failure opens a replacement discussion.

Why does my Dacor wine column show oF instead of a temperature?
It is in Cooling Off mode, the retail display setting where fans and lights work but the compressors stay off. Press and hold Cabinet Light, Presenter Light and Lock together for 5 seconds to return to normal cooling.
Why is the Filter light blinking red on my Dacor wine column?
The deodorizer filter has reached about 18 months of use. Replace it, then hold Deodorizer Reset for 3 seconds to clear the reminder.
My Dacor column smells of wood. Is something wrong?
Dacor says the smell can simply be natural oak from the wooden racks. Clean the cabinet, air it out, and check that the deodorizer filters are not overdue.
Can my Dacor wine column send alerts to my phone?
Yes, through the SmartThings app. It reports abnormally high temperature, a door left open and a filter due, and gives a door-opening history for the last 7 days.
