What is particular

We service the SKSCW181RP and SKSCW241RP integrated wine columns and the SKSUW2401P undercounter unit, all panel-ready. The 18-inch column holds 71 bottles, the 24-inch holds 113 and the undercounter unit 41.

Display Mode turns cooling off

A store display setting shows OF on the panel and stops all cooling while the lights and controls keep working. On a newly installed unit that is not getting cold, it is the first thing we rule out.

Controls that lock themselves

On the undercounter model the panel locks when power is first connected and again every time the door opens and closes. Buttons that seem dead usually just need the Lock button held for about three seconds.

Humidity and UV protection

A Humidity button raises humidity in all zones at once, and the door glass carries a UV-resistant coating. Both matter for bottles kept for years rather than weeks.

Diagnosis over the phone

Smart Diagnosis in the LG ThinQ app gives information for diagnosing issues from the pattern of use. Running it before a visit can save time at the cabinet.

Parts

SKS parts are specific to these panel-ready models and are ordered by model and serial number. Door panels are custom cabinetry, so we protect them whenever a door or hinge has to come off.

Repair or replace

My SKS wine column is on but not cooling and shows OF. What is wrong?
It is in Display Mode, which disables cooling for showroom use. On the column, open the door and hold Upper and Humidity together for five seconds; on the undercounter unit, hold Lower and press Wi-Fi three times.
What does sb mean on an SKS wine cooler?
Sabbath mode is on. It switches off the light and alarm functions, keeps the last temperature setting, and turns itself off after 96 hours.
Why do the buttons on my SKS undercounter unit not respond?
The panel is probably locked; it locks at power-up and after each door opening. Pressing and holding Lock for roughly three seconds frees the buttons.
How long can an SKS wine cooler door stay open before it beeps?
About a minute. After that a warning alarm repeats every 30 seconds until the door is closed.
