What is particular
to Zephyr.

We work on Presrv undercounter coolers such as the PRW15C01CG, the PRW24C02CG and the Pro PRPW24C02CG, and on the full-size PRW24F01CG and PRW24F02CG columns. The full-size dual-zone model cools each zone with its own evaporator, which shapes how a warm zone is diagnosed.

One set of alarm limits

The 15-inch, 24-inch and full-size manuals share the same thresholds: HI above 73°F and LO below 28°F on the wine models. A Presrv code reads the same whichever size you own.

Demonstration Mode looks like a failure

In Demonstration Mode the lights and display work but the compressor and fans never start, and the only hint is an R indicator blinking slowly. Zephyr lists it as a cause of a cooler that is not cold enough, so we rule it out first.

A carbon filter to keep up with

Each Presrv has a replaceable carbon filter that Zephyr says to change every 3 to 6 months, and every three months when the unit sits in a kitchen. An overdue filter is a common start to a stale smell.

Made to sit flush

Presrv undercounter units can be fully built into cabinetry with no extra clearance because they breathe through the front. A blocked or dusty front grille is a frequent reason for a warm cabinet and a long run time.

Parts

Carbon filters (Z0F-C004), racks and handles are catalog items, while control boards, sensors and fans are matched to the exact model. On the full-size dual-zone column, the zone that runs warm tells us which evaporator and fan to test.

Repair or replace

Presrv coolers are recent designs, so a failed sensor, fan or board is usually worth fixing. Replacement deserves a look mainly when a small undercounter unit has a sealed-system leak.

Why is my Zephyr Presrv lit up but not cooling?
Check for a slowly blinking R indicator: that is Demonstration Mode, where the compressor and fans stay off. Hold the Power button and tap Decrease Temperature twice to leave it. A cabinet still warm an hour later calls for a visit.
What does a flashing 00 mean on a Zephyr wine cooler?
The door has been open for 3 minutes, and an alarm sounds with it. Close the door fully; if 00 keeps coming back with the door shut, the door or gasket needs checking.
How often should the carbon filter be changed in a Presrv cooler?
Zephyr says every 3 to 6 months, and every three months if the unit is in a kitchen. The replacement part is Z0F-C004.
Frost is stopping my Zephyr door from closing. What now?
Zephyr's advice is to power the unit off until the frost melts, which can take up to 24 hours, then dry it with a soft towel. Never chip ice with a sharp tool. Frost that returns quickly points to a door, gasket or humidity problem.
