Monogram wine coolers,
specifically.

Monogram offers wine storage in two forms: the 24-inch Wine Reserve that sits under the counter and the 24-inch ZIW241 wine column, a panel-ready full-height unit with two independently set compartments. They share a badge but not a control, so a visit starts with which one you own.

The Monogram lineup

What is particular
to Monogram.

We service the Monogram ZDWR240 and ZDWI240 Wine Reserve undercounter units and the ZIW241 panel-ready wine column. The ZDWR240NBS was built from 2020 to mid-2025, so both current and recent units are common.

Two very different machines

The Wine Reserve uses RED WINE, WHITE WINE and CUSTOM TEMP pads, while the ZIW241 column has wine modes, light modes and a panel that locks itself. The same complaint can mean different things on each.

A sensor you can block

On the Wine Reserve, Monogram places the thermistor on the right wall just above the third shelf. A bottle pushed against it can make the cabinet run warm while the display looks fine.

Filters for clean air

The ZIW241 column has an activated carbon odor filter at the back of each compartment, with an icon that asks for new ones about every 6 months. A musty column often just needs filters and a reset.

Codes kept for service

When the column detects a problem it gives 4 quick beeps and shows a code, but Monogram does not publish what the codes mean. Writing the code down before the visit saves time.

Parts

Wine Reserve drawers with unfinished cherry fronts, gaskets and controls are matched by model and serial. Column odor filters are a stock part; column control parts are usually ordered after the code is read.

Repair or replace

Both Monogram lines are built into cabinetry, often with custom panels or stained drawer fronts, which makes repair the usual choice. Only when an older Wine Reserve needs sealed-system work does a new unit become a serious alternative.

Questions about
Monogram wine coolers.

Why is my Monogram Wine Reserve warm at the top and cool at the bottom?
Monogram says the bottom of the cabinet runs cooler than the top, and suggests whites low and reds higher. A difference of a few degrees is normal.
Where does water go in a Monogram Wine Reserve?
Condensation runs down a channel at the back to a drain hole. Monogram asks owners to clear debris from it with the third and fourth drawers removed; a blocked hole leaves water in the cabinet.
What do I do when my Monogram wine column beeps four times?
Write down the code on the panel and book a visit. Monogram keeps the meaning of those codes for service.
Can I stain the drawer fronts on a Monogram Wine Reserve?
Yes. The fronts are unfinished cherry, and Monogram allows staining and sealing to match your cabinets, with the door left open until it fully dries.
