We service Electrolux EI24WC10QS and EI24WL10QS IQ-Touch wine coolers and the EI24WC15VS single-zone wine cooler. The model and serial plate is on the ceiling of the cabinet.
Two control generations
The IQ-Touch models light Door Ajar, Temp and Power Failure indicators beside a blue status dot, while the EI24WC15VS spells out codes like H°, L°, CE and dE. The code on the display tells us which generation we are looking at.
Front breathing, zero clearance
Electrolux allows these units to sit flush against cabinets on all sides, but the front grille must stay open. A blocked toe grille is high on our list whenever a cabinet runs warm.
Anti-tip bracket when freestanding
Outside a counter, the cooler must have its rear leg engaged under an anti-tip bracket. A loaded rack pulled out on an unsecured unit can tip it forward.
A fixed Cellaring setting
The EI24WC15VS has a Cellaring mode that locks the cabinet at 54°F and shows CE. Owners who cannot change the temperature are often in this mode.
Parts
We order LED assemblies, gaskets, racks and controls using the serial plate on the cabinet ceiling. Electrolux treats a failed LED as a job for a technician rather than a bulb change.
Repair or replace
A door, gasket, light or control problem on an Electrolux wine cooler is usually worth repairing. If an older IQ-Touch unit needs its compressor or refrigerant circuit repaired, a new cooler is often the more sensible spend.
